SMS Terms & Conditions

1. Impela SMS Messaging Program

Impela (“we,” “us,” or “our”), a product of BridgeValue Consulting LLC, offers an optional SMS messaging program to support your personal coaching experience. By opting in to receive text messages from Impela, you agree to receive the following types of messages:

  • Commitment reminders: Notifications about upcoming or due commitments and action items you have set within your coaching plan.
  • Progress summaries: Weekly summaries of your coaching progress, including completed commitments and active goal updates.
  • Re-engagement nudges: Friendly reminders to return to coaching if you have been inactive for a period of time.
  • Accountability updates: Messages related to accountability partner activity, if you have opted in to that feature.

Impela SMS messages are informational and coaching-related only. We will never send promotional, marketing, or advertising messages via SMS.

2. Consent and Opt-In

By providing your phone number and enabling SMS notifications in your Impela account settings, you expressly consent to receive recurring automated text messages from Impela at the phone number you provide. Consent is not a condition of purchase or use of the Service. You may use Impela without opting in to SMS notifications.

You represent that you are the account holder for the phone number you provide or that you have the account holder’s permission to enroll that number in this messaging program.

3. How to Opt Out

You can cancel SMS messages at any time using either method:

  • Text “STOP” to the number from which you received the message. After you send “STOP,” we will send you a confirmation message that you have been unsubscribed. You will no longer receive SMS messages from Impela after that point.
  • Disable SMS notifications in your Impela account Settings page. Navigate to Settings → Notifications and turn off all SMS notification channels.

If you wish to re-enroll after opting out, you may do so at any time by re-enabling SMS notifications in your account settings.

If you are experiencing issues with the SMS messaging program, you can:

5. Message Frequency

Message frequency varies based on your notification preferences and coaching activity. Typical usage includes:

  • Commitment reminders: Up to 1 message per commitment, per reminder period (daily, weekly, or custom as configured by you).
  • Progress summaries: Up to 1 message per week, if enabled.
  • Re-engagement nudges: No more than 1 message per week during inactive periods, if enabled.

You control which message types you receive and their frequency through your account notification settings. You will not receive more than 10 messages per week from Impela under any circumstances.

6. Message and Data Rates

Message and data rates may apply for any messages sent to you from us and to us from you, depending on your wireless plan. If you have any questions about your text or data plan, contact your wireless provider.

7. Carrier Disclaimer

Wireless carriers, including but not limited to T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon, and others, are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery of messages is subject to effective transmission from your wireless service provider and network availability.

8. Privacy

Your phone number and messaging data are protected under our Privacy Policy. We will never sell, share, or distribute your phone number to third parties for marketing or any other purpose unrelated to the Impela Service.

9. Accountability Partner SMS

If you designate an accountability partner to receive SMS updates about your progress, the following additional terms apply:

  • Your accountability partner must independently opt in by providing their phone number and agreeing to these SMS Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy.
  • Accountability partners will only receive messages about information you have explicitly chosen to share.
  • Accountability partners may opt out at any time by texting “STOP” or by contacting us at support@bridgevalueconsulting.com.
  • You may revoke an accountability partner’s access at any time, which immediately stops all SMS messages to that person.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these SMS Terms & Conditions from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you via SMS or through a notice within the Service at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued participation in the SMS program after the effective date constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
